Assistant Lab Manager (MT)

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Lab Manager to support the efficient operation of our research and clinical laboratories. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory management, scientific techniques, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on advancing research initiatives and ensuring adherence to industry standards. As an integral part of the laboratory team, you will oversee daily laboratory activities, supervise technical staff, and facilitate smooth workflows to support research, development, and clinical trial projects. Responsibilities

• Assist in managing laboratory operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Supervise laboratory personnel, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to maintain high standards of technical performance and safety.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), and other relevant industry standards.
• Oversee laboratory procedures across various disciplines such as microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and clinical laboratory techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, data collection, and analysis results in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or other record-keeping platforms.
• Support research & development activities by coordinating experiments, managing project timelines, and assisting with protocol adherence.
• Monitor inventory levels of reagents, supplies, and equipment; coordinate procurement to ensure continuous laboratory operations.
• Implement quality control measures and troubleshoot technical issues related to laboratory techniques or instrumentation.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and new technologies or methodologies.
• Collaborate with senior management on project planning, progress reporting, and process improvements to enhance overall laboratory efficiency.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of GLP standards, FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and laboratory safety protocols.
• Strong background in microbiology, histology, molecular biology techniques, and clinical laboratory procedures.
• Proven experience in clinical trials support and research laboratory environments with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data tracking and reporting purposes.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience managing technical teams within a research or clinical setting.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Analytical skills necessary for troubleshooting technical issues and interpreting complex data sets.
• Familiarity with laboratory management practices including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and compliance documentation.
• Effective communication skills for training staff, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and reporting findings clearly.
