Assistant Ladieswear Buyer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our team! In this role, you will support the purchasing department in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring ladies clothing essential for our stores. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of buying, retail math and inventory control,

Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement process by identifying potential suppliers and conducting market research.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and plan for production needs.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure favorable contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure quality service.
• Analyze inventory data to support planning.
• Participate in e-commerce initiatives related to purchasing and sourcing strategies.
• Support logistics operations by coordinating shipments and tracking deliveries.

Skills

• Understanding of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Some familiarity with sourcing techniques and contract management.
• Knowledge of pricing strategies and production planning methodologies.
• Experience in merchandising is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate across teams.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
