Assistant Manager

Hours: Will vary depending on shift needs of the warehouse

Compensation: $80K - $95k

Sanford Rose is looking for an Assistant Manager for a growing manufacturing company in the Lake Mary, FL area on a direct hire basis. This is a great role for someone who enjoys the hussel and bussle of the warehouse, has leadership experience, and is looking to start a new role as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production of high-quality products at the lowest possible cost while complying with company policies and white glove customer service philosophy
• Coordinate and manage workloads for multiple machines across a three-shift operation under the direction of the Manager
• Ensure equipment/machines operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with production goals and quality standards
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure controlled, consistent production processes
• Mentor, train, and develop supervisors and production employees to ensure competency in assigned roles
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety policies and workplace standards
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, training employees, and addressing performance or workplace issues

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse lead or supervisor experience within a manufacturing company, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Extrusion manufacturing experience required
• Extrusion software experience required
• Associate’s degree is preferred but will accept additional experience in place of this
• Strong mathematical, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical information related to the manufacturing process; effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform essential physical functions, including standing, walking, repetitive hand and upper-body motion, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
• Required vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
• Ability to work in a hot manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, moderate to loud noise, and mandatory use of hearing protection and personal protective equipment
