About the Role
You support the firm’s tax and accounting operations and client delivery. You oversee day to day work, review outputs (monthly reports, VAT returns, CT returns, VAT and CT registrations, etc), and ensure compliance with UAE regulations. You act as a key contact for clients for any complex inquiries and a support lead for other team members that comprise junior and senior accountants working in our Dubai office as well as working remotely in other countries (Philippines and Russia).
You’ll be responsible for
- Running day to day accounting operations.
- Acting as first escalation point for the team before issues reach the Manager.
- Reviewing work prepared by senior accountants or reviewed by senior accountants prepared by junior team members for accuracy and compliance.
- Tracking deadlines for VAT, CT, payroll, and other reporting requirements.
- Coordinating workload, priorities, and task allocation within the team.
- Identifying risks, errors, or gaps before client submission.
- Supporting audits, inspections, and information requests.
- Maintaining accounting systems and standard operating procedures.
- Training, onboarding and performing performance evaluation reviews for team members.
- Flagging and working on process improvements and efficiency gaps.
- Participate in new client in take calls as well as prospects sales calls.
- Prepare proposals for new clients.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Review team output and correct issues early.
- Ensure filings, payroll, and reports stay on schedule.
- Answer operational questions from the team.
- Handle routine client communication and documentation.
- Prepare clean summaries for Manager decision making.
- Resolve blockers so work flows without delays.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
- ACCA / ACA / CMA or equivalent, internationally recognised accounting qualification.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and CT regulations and accounting principles ideally supported by UAE VAT and/or CT Diploma.
- Proven experience supporting managers in an accounting or advisory firm in the UAE.
- Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Zoho Books.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong review skills to catch errors before escalation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and confident communication with clients and internal teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
