Mimi’s Bridal at Town & Country: Assistant Manager
Primary tasks include but are not limited to:
This role is designed to assist the manager in multiple capacities, with key focus areas including overseeing day-to-day operations in inventory management, team leadership, store presentation, and supporting sales and events.
The assistant manager ensures accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to brand standards while fostering a high-performing team culture. They act as a liaison between staff, vendors, and ownership to maintain operational excellence, maximize sales opportunities, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Inventory & Ordering Management
- Receiving & Stock Room Oversight – Manage receiving staff and stock room activities to ensure all processes and procedures are consistently followed.
- Inventory Processing – Ensure all inventory is received, tagged, and prepared for sales efficiently and accurately.
- Order Accuracy, Trunk Shows & Issue Resolution – Oversee receiving staff as they review all purchase orders for accuracy. If discrepancies or issues are identified, serve as the primary contact for resolution, overseeing matters such as stains, return authorizations, damaged/defective merchandise, and incorrect shipments. Ensure trunk show merchandise is checked in and processed correctly, shipped out by the required deadline, and tracking information is forwarded as needed. Coordinate with vendors, stylists, and management to ensure timely solutions that maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Product Maintenance & Pricing – Ensure discontinuation lists and price updates are completed by required deadlines for current and incoming inventory.
- Inventory Replenishment – Monitor stock levels of top-selling items and coordinate with the ordering manager to reorder before quantities fall below established thresholds to avoid missed sales opportunities.
Managing Team Members
- Assist with onboarding new employees.
- Create and maintain employee schedules, ensuring adequate staffing based on appointments and traffic; adjust as necessary.
- Oversee daily tasks and to-do lists, ensuring completion in an efficient and effective manner.
- Assist in leading weekly Nuts & Bolts meetings to address issues and improve team efficiency.
- Hold employees to Mimi’s standards of excellence, encouraging teamwork and mutual support.
- Oversee smooth customer check-in and appointment flow, especially during peak times, ensuring all appointments begin on time and eliminating extended wait times on our end.
- Collaborate with Amy on any employee PIP’s (Personal Improvement Plans) or write-ups.
Store Presentation & Operations
- Maintain store presentation to brand standards.
- Create, display, and ensure daily use of the closing list, with a fair rotation including managers.
- Oversee deeper cleaning and organization as needed.
- Coordinate sewing repairs (minor in-store or through seamstress).
- Assign laundry to maintain clean gloves and towels for staff use.
- Ensure all equipment (computers, printers, steamers, etc.) is functioning; report issues immediately.
- Open and forward all mail as needed.
- Ensure the store is stocked with necessary supplies from outside vendors (Walmart/Costco, Total Wine, receiving room needs).
Customer Interaction & Sales
- Support stylists in their sales efforts and maintain personal sales activity.
- Assist in managing the sales team to achieve sales targets.
- Lead by example with a minimum 50% close ratio.
- Prioritize and oversee team follow-up to generate additional revenue.
- Demonstrate professionalism, brand-appropriate language, and exceptional customer service.
- Assist in implementing and refining sales strategies to drive growth.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Assist in monitoring sales metrics and analyze performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Celebrate team wins and provide constructive feedback.
Customer Resolution
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, creating solutions that preserve resources while delivering excellent service.
- Track and analyze customer service trends to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Events & Scheduling
- Maintain reliability and plan time-off requests well in advance; note that weekends are the busiest days.
- Adhere to blackout dates (Jan–Mar & Sept–Nov) with limited time-off availability.
- Attend bridal shows/events as needed, including weekends.
- Assist with in-store sales events, including setup and planning outside of normal hours.
- Connect with local vendors to promote the store and attend vendor nights to build vendor relationships.

We are seeking a full time individual for this role with the following hours of operation.
Tues & Thus 11:00AM - 7:00PM
Wed & Fri 10:00AM - 5:00PM
Sat 8:45AM - 5:30PM
Sun 12:00-5:00 (Rotating schedule or special events)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
