About the Role:

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to support statutory audits and compliance activities across UK and non-UK entities (EMEA and/or Asia). You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to prepare accurate statutory financial statements, coordinate external audits, and ensure timely filing to statutory deadlines. You will also help track KPIs and dashboard reporting for senior management on the status of statutory filings.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Enable timely, cost-effective audit completion and statutory filings by coordinating deliverables and schedules.
  • Strengthen financial governance by helping assess new non-US GAAP standards and supporting implementation with local and US finance teams.
  • Improve cross-regional consistency by helping standardize processes and documentation for statutory reporting.
  • Support integration of acquisitions into the statutory reporting structure, ensuring clear filing requirements and timelines.
  • Assist in the completion of statutory financial statements under IFRS or local GAAP for EMEA and/or Asia entities, per agreed timetables and compliant policies/disclosures.
  • Assist with work related to tax return completion linked to statutory account preparation, bridging management accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Support audit planning and timelines; manage PBC (Prepared by Client) requests and ensure efficient submission of audit deliverables.
  • Assist in integrating new acquisitions into the statutory reporting structure, documenting filing requirements, deadlines, and any policies not aligned with US GAAP.
  • Contribute to documented assessments of new non-US GAAP accounting standards and their impact on statutory results; support implementation as relevant.
  • Help develop and standardize processes to drive consistency and improvement while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Work on ad hoc projects as required.

What we look for:

  • Professional qualification: ACCA / CA / CMA.
  • 2–3 years of financial statement preparation and auditing experience.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS and financial statement analysis; understanding of internal control requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the business and external auditors.
  • Self-management: ability to handle multiple priorities and meet financial deadlines; approachable and strong team player.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience with SAP or other accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of Caseware / OneSource (Thomson Reuters Statutory Reporting Software).
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Process improvement experience
