Role Overview

We are a global B2B manufacturing organization preparing for a public listing (IPO). As part of our growing finance team, we are seeking an Assistant Manager – Banking Operations to support day-to-day banking, trade finance, and treasury activities. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders, banks, and external partners to ensure efficient financial operations, strong controls, and IPO-grade compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end banking and trade finance operations including LCs, BGs, SBLCs, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with banks for issuance, amendments, renewals, closures, and limit management of trade finance instruments.
  • Handle forex transactions such as booking, settlement, documentation, and reconciliations in line with RBI and internal policies.
  • Monitor utilization, expiry, limits, and compliance of banking and trade finance facilities.
  • Support treasury activities including cash flow tracking, liquidity planning, and fund management.
  • Assist in managing working capital facilities, term loans, and debt-related documentation and covenant tracking.
  • Prepare MIS and reports on banking exposure, trade finance utilization, forex positions, and bank charges.
  • Ensure timely bank reconciliations, strong documentation, and audit-ready processes aligned with IPO requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, supply chain, legal, finance) and external banks/advisors to support business operations and process improvements.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business (MBA / CA / CMA preferred).
  • 3–7 years of experience in banking operations, trade finance, or treasury functions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with LCs, BGs, forex transactions, and bank coordination.
  • Exposure to debt and treasury operations is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in manufacturing, export-oriented, or global B2B organizations preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Good understanding of banking products, documentation, and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ownership mindset.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
