Assistant Manager - Business Analytics (NetSuite Integration + AI & Predictive Analytics)

Job description

Project Overview:We are a UAE-based company using NetSuite as our ERP and Power BI as our main business intelligence platform. We are seeking a skilled freelancer to:

1. Connect NetSuite to Power BI and create a robust, optimized data model.

2. Develop a professional executive dashboard for finance, sales, and operations.

3. Implement AI capabilities for natural-language querying, automated insights, and predictive analytics.

4. Deliver knowledge transfer and documentation so our internal team can maintain and expand the solution.

5. Work closely with the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) team — FP&A will design and define the reporting requirements and dashboard structure, and the freelancer will be responsible for implementing these designs in Power BI.

Scope of Work:

1. Data Integration- Connect NetSuite → Power BI using Suite Analytics Connect (OData) or third-party connector (e.g., C Data). - Optimize queries for fast refresh performance. - Extract and prepare key datasets such as: - Sales Orders, Invoices, Payments - Items & Product Categories - Customers & Regions - Financial KPIs (Revenue, GP, etc.)

2. Data Modeling- Build a star-schema data model with proper relationships. - Create calculated columns & DAX measures for: As per business requirements defined by FP&A and management.

3. Dashboard Development- Design a visually appealing and user-friendly Power BI dashboard with: As per business requirements defined by FP&A and management.

4. AI & Advanced Analytics- Inside Power BI: - Enable & configure Power BI Copilot (if licensing supports it). - Implement Q&A visual for natural-language querying. - Add Smart Narrative for automated written insights. - Predictive Analytics: - Implement forecasting and anomaly detection in Power BI.

If required, integrate AI Builder, Python Prophet, or Azure Machine Learning for advanced forecasting models. - Optional: - Integrate Azure OpenAI or ChatGPT API for conversational querying of Power BI datasets.

5. Knowledge Transfer- Provide full documentation covering: - Data connections & refresh setup - Data model & DAX formulas - AI features & predictive models - Conduct a training session for internal users (1–2 hours).

Deliverables:

1. Working NetSuite→ Power BI live connection.

2. Optimized Power BI data model with KPIs.

3. Executive dashboard with AI-powered features.

4. Predictive analytics capability for sales & finance forecasting.

5. Documentation & training handover.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record with NetSuite to Power BI integration. -
• Strong DAX and Power Query expertise.
• Experience with AI features in Power BI (Copilot, Q&A, Smart Narrative).
• Familiarity with predictive analytics (AI Builder, Python Prophet, Azure ML).
• Experience integrating Azure OpenAI or ChatGPT API is a plus.
• Strong dashboard design & data storytelling skills.
