due focacceria is a neighborhood eatery rooted in italian tradition—community, conversation, and a shared table. located in mac-groveland, we’re a fast-paced, scratch kitchen café with a full barista and deli program.

we’re looking for a café assistant manager to help lead daily operations and run strong, consistent shifts.

this role is ideal for someone with experience in barista, deli, or café environments who is ready to step into a leadership position.

Position Overview

this is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role.

you’ll work 5 shifts per week, leading service, supporting the team, and ensuring each shift runs smoothly across bar, deli, and front of house operations.

you are responsible for the success of the shift—from team flow to guest experience.

What You’ll Do

• lead and run daily shifts in a fast-paced café environment
• oversee barista, deli, and counter service operations
• manage real-time decisions including staff positioning and cutting labor
• jump into positions as needed (espresso bar, deli line, register)
• coach team members during service and maintain standards
• ensure food quality, ticket times, and guest experience are consistent
• assist with light prep and scratch kitchen support when needed
• support store organization, cleanliness, and daily flow
• participate in leadership communication and shift feedback

What We’re Looking For

• experience in a café, coffee shop, deli, catering, or restaurant environment
• strong beverage or counter-service experience
• previous experience leading shifts or teams preferred
• comfortable working in a scratch kitchen environment
• positive, team-first attitude with strong communication skills
• ability to stay calm, organized, and decisive during busy service
• someone who takes ownership and follows through

Schedule

• 5 shifts per week required
• mix of AM and PM shifts
• AM shifts: ~9am–11am start
• PM shifts: ~2pm–4:30pm start
• weekend availability required

Pay: $20.29 - $28.46 per hour
