Assistant Manager - Data Engineering

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Spark streaming and modern data engineering tools, with a focus on developing reliable, high-performance data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern data engineering frameworks.
• Implement data integration tests and quality checks to ensure data integrity.
• Optimize data processing and pipeline performance to support real-time and batch workloads.
• Develop and maintain real-time and near real-time streaming pipelines using Apache Flink and Apache Kafka.
• Collaborate with platform and source teams to enhance data architecture and reliability.
• Manage data pipeline releases, including code reviews, approvals, and CI/CD automation.
• Document data models, metadata, schemas, and development best practices.
• Work with global cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable data products that meet business needs.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve data engineering efficiency and scalability.
  
  

Require Skills

• Education and Experience Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering roles.
• Proven experience in Python & Java
• Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.
• Expertise in Spark SQL and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and related streaming technologies.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (SparkSQL, Hive, HDFS, MapReduce, etc.).
