About the role:

Your Impactful Goals will include: 

- Planning, design, and lifecycle management of Tier-standard data centers.

- Civil and structural design of facilities along with power infrastructure including HVAC, UPS, and fire suppression systems.

- Compliance with international certifications and regulatory standards, while driving cost optimization, energy efficiency, and uptime reliability.

- Close coordination with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to align infrastructure with business growth strategies.




Your Typical Day will look like: 

- Reviewing and approving infrastructure designs, project plans, and vendor deliverables.

- Overseeing data centre operations, incident management, and emergency readiness.

- Conducting capacity planning, budgeting, and cost optimization exercises.

- Engaging with third-party support teams and consultants to track performance and contractual compliance.

- Leading performance reviews and team development sessions.

- Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.

- Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to align infrastructure with Telenor Pakistan strategy and growth goals.

- Review, coordinate and manage installation, commissioning and implementation activities procured from vendors or third parties

- Lead the planning, design, and lifecycle management of Tier-standard data centres.

- Oversee civil structures and power systems.

- Planning and coordinating data centre activities, including system installations, upgrades, repairs and maintenance for civil and power systems.

- Developing and managing the data centre's budget and ensuring cost efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with International and local regulatory standards.

- Drive uptime, energy efficiency, and emergency readiness through global best practices.

- Monitoring the data centre's environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, etc.) and ensuring they are within the specified limits.

- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and to standard.

- Develop and enforce policies, SOPs, and frameworks for operations, maintenance, and security.

- Lead capacity planning, audits, and incident resolution, ensuring business continuity.

- Align infrastructure with Telenor Pakistan business growth strategies to support short-, medium- and long-term success

What we're looking for:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management, or Engineering Management.

Work Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant professional experience in data center infrastructure, civil & power systems, or related fields.




Certifications:

- Tier Data Centre Certification, Project Management, HSE certifications.




Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas: 

- Familiarity with industry Data Center Design standards and compliance requirements

- Strong understanding of civil, structural, and Power systems in data centers

- Budgeting, financial planning, and vendor management

- Incident, problem, and change management practices

- Energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost optimization techniques.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

- Strong organizational and project management skills

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
