- Design and specify mechanical components and systems.
- Develop, prototype, and test mechanical designs to ensure functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to validate and improve designs.
- Lead and manage mechanical design projects independently, ensuring timely completion.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues during the development process.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and QA engineers, to ensure design integration.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Should have 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Balance design requirements with cost efficiency, manufacturing feasibility, and production timelines.
- Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of materials selection and mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and production constraints.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools for effective execution.
- Awareness of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements in mechanical design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address design challenges.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in mechanical design solutions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with new technologies and best practices in mechanical design.
