About the Role:
As an Assistant Manager – Operations, you’ll support the end-to-end planning and on-ground execution of events and MICE projects. You will assist in vendor coordination, logistics management, and production supervision, ensuring every event runs smoothly, efficiently, and within defined timelines and budgets. This role demands strong organizational skills, hands-on execution ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, conferences and incentive programs.
- Work closely with the client servicing and creative teams to translate concepts into operational plans.
- Coordinate with vendors for venue, fabrication, AV, logistics, travel and manpower arrangements.
- Prepare event checklists, material lists, and schedules under the guidance of the operations manager.
- Conduct site visits and recce for setup feasibility and layout finalization.
- Supervise event setup and dismantling, ensuring quality control and adherence to timelines.
- Manage on-site teams and ensure smooth communication across departments.
- Support in budget tracking, vendor billing and post-event documentation.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges quickly and effectively during events.
Requirements:
- 3–4 years of experience in event operations / production within an event management company.
- Strong understanding of event logistics, fabrication, and vendor management.
- Excellent coordination, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during event execution.
