BIACCOUNTAX is a Europe, UK, and USA-based accounting and taxation firm with a professional back-office team in Lahore. We provide comprehensive accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, taxation, and financial consultancy services to international clients across multiple industries.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly experienced, result-oriented, and motivated professional for the position of Assistant Manager / Expert – Accounting, Bookkeeping & Taxation (Europe).

The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on expertise in European bookkeeping, VAT compliance, payroll processing, financial reporting, and taxation matters across multiple European jurisdictions. The candidate should be capable of independently managing client portfolios, supervising team members, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping

  • Handle complete bookkeeping and accounting for European clients using cloud-based accounting software.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
  • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Taxation & VAT Compliance

  • Prepare and review VAT returns and ensure timely submissions.
  • Assist clients with corporate tax compliance and related filings.
  • Manage payroll taxes, social security contributions, and other statutory obligations.
  • Stay updated with European tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients and relevant authorities regarding tax matters and audits.

Payroll Management

  • Process payroll accurately and timely for European clients.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, employee benefits, and statutory deductions.
  • Prepare payroll reports and maintain employee records.

Software & SystemsMust have strong working knowledge of:

  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Xero
  • Zoho Books
  • Sage
  • Other leading cloud-based accounting and payroll systems

Candidate should be capable of:

  • System setup and migration
  • Automation and workflow improvements
  • Troubleshooting accounting software issues
  • Generating customized reports and financial analyses

Team Management & Client Communication

  • Supervise, train, and support junior accountants and bookkeeping staff.
  • Monitor team performance, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Communicate professionally with international clients through emails and virtual meetings.
  • Handle client queries efficiently while maintaining strong professional relationships.

Reporting & Analytical Skills

  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and analytical reports.
  • Utilize MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint at an advanced level for reporting and presentations.
  • Conduct financial analysis and identify areas for operational and financial improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA Finalist / CA Inter (Articles Completed) / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified / CMA Qualified or Part Qualified / Business Graduate (Accounting & Finance)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in European accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and taxation
  • Strong understanding of:
  • VAT regulations
  • European payroll compliance
  • Financial reporting standards
  • Corporate taxation principles
  • Experience managing multiple international clients across diverse industries
  • Excellent English communication and business writing skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage team workloads effectively
  • Willingness to work in flexible European / UK / US time zones
