Job description:
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Supervise and manage the accounting team, including Team Leaders, Senior Accountants, and Junior Officers.

Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.

Review and approve financial statements and management reports.

Monitor compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Manage fixed asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposals.

Ensure proper accounting for accounts payable and receivable.

Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.

Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Ensure accurate maintenance of financial data in ERP systems (SAP).

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
-
Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
-
Handle tax-related accounting matters in coordination with the Finance Manager.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Minimum Academic/ Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent with 8 years of experience.

Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
