Job description:

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Supervise and manage the accounting team, including Team Leaders, Senior Accountants, and Junior Officers.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Review and approve financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Ensure proper accounting for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of financial data in ERP systems (SAP).
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Handle tax-related accounting matters in coordination with the Finance Manager.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Minimum Academic/ Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent with 8 years of experience.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
