Position: Assistant Manager GL & Financial Reporting

Key Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge in IFRS 17 implementation and transition, including disclosures, controls review, technical analysis, and cross-functional coordination, preferably from insurance industry.
- Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements/ regulatory returns in accordance with IFRS, ensuring accurate classification, measurement and presentation and disclosure in line with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
- Skilled in budgeting and forecasting, including preparing accurate financial projections, variance analysis and supporting management in strategic planning.
- Strong technical command of IFRS, IAS, Income Tax Ordinance, Companies Act, SECP regulations, and insurance-sector reporting standards. Practical understanding of IFRS 9, including ECL model review, data validation, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive financial, regulatory, and management analysis, including benchmarking, competitor analysis, and industry reviews.
- Experienced in cross-functional coordination across the organization.
- Capable of leading the Annual Report process, including data collection, validation, narrative drafting, and regulatory compliance.
- Skilled in maintaining project trackers and dashboards for IFRS, automation, and system enhancement initiatives.
