The Assistant Manager – HR (Plant) will manage end-to-end HR operations at the plant with a strong focus on statutory compliance, recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration. The role ensures full adherence to labor laws, supports manpower planning, and contributes to a productive plant environment.
Key Responsibilities.
Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for plant-level positions—blue-collar, technicians, supervisors, and contract manpower.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and create hiring plans.
- Manage sourcing channels: job portals, vendors, consultancies, campus hiring, and referrals.
- Conduct screening, interviews, documentation, and onboarding formalities.
- Ensure timely availability of manpower to support production needs.
- Maintain MIS on open positions, joining status, and manpower turnover.
2. Statutory Compliance & Legal
- Ensure 100% compliance with all labor laws (Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, CLRA, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.).
- Manage audits, inspections, and timely filing of statutory returns.
- Maintain compliance records, licenses, and renewals for the plant.
- Monitor contractor compliance and conduct vendor audits.
3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and maintain healthy labor relations.
- Support communication between management and workers.
- Oversee safety, welfare, canteen, transport, and shift operations.
- Support implementation of HR policies and statutory committees (POSH, Safety, Works Committee).
4. HR Operations
- Oversee onboarding, induction, time office, attendance, and leave management.
- Provide accurate payroll inputs for plant employees.
- Maintain HRIS data, employee files, and documentation.
5. Training & Development
- Identify training needs for workers and staff.
- Coordinate compliance, safety, skill development, and behavioral trainings.
- Maintain training calendars and effectiveness records.
6. Performance Management
- Facilitate plant-level appraisal cycles, probation reviews, and KPI tracking.
- Support performance improvement plans wherever needed.
7. HR Projects & Engagement
- Organize employee engagement events and welfare programs.
- Run initiatives to improve culture, reduce attrition, and enhance plant productivity.
- Support continuous improvement and HR policy implementation.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in plant recruitment & contractor workforce management.
- Excellent knowledge of statutory compliance and labor laws.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-handling capability.
- Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS, and time office systems.
Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years experience in Plant HR with strong compliance and recruitment exposure.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
