Health & Safety Management
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with legal requirements and food manufacturing best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement control measures across production, warehousing, and distribution.
- Lead workplace safety initiatives including fire safety, machinery safety, PPE usage, and emergency response planning.
- Monitor workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; ensure root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions are in place.
- Organize regular safety drills, toolbox talks, and safety awareness campaigns.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure HSE standards align with ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and local food safety regulations.
- Monitor hygiene practices, waste management, and pest control measures across production areas.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to integrate food safety and hygiene into HSE programs.
Environmental Management
- Oversee waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives (water, energy efficiency, recycling).
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and reporting requirements.
- Implement programs to reduce the company’s environmental footprint.
Training & Leadership
- Provide HSE training and awareness sessions for employees at all levels.
- Promote a strong safety culture, encouraging employee participation in HSE programs.
- Mentor supervisors and line managers on implementing safe work practices.
Audit & Compliance
- Conduct internal HSE audits and coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date HSE documentation, records, and statutory licenses/permits.
- Ensure timely reporting of HSE KPIs to management.
