Assistant Manager Human Resources

Job Purpose:

To support the effective management of the Human Resource function within the school, ensuring compliance with CBSE norms, labor laws, and institutional policies. The Assistant Manager – HR will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, statutory compliance, and general administration to build a positive and productive work culture in the school.

Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process for teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Develop job descriptions, post job advertisements, screen resumes, and conduct initial interviews.
  • Coordinate with Principals/Academic Heads for final interviews and selection.
  • Ensure timely onboarding and induction of new staff.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances.
  • Build healthy employee relations and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
  • Support conflict resolution and disciplinary actions in consultation with HR Head/Management.

3. Performance Management & Training

  • Assist in implementation of appraisal systems aligned with CBSE and school standards.
  • Monitor probation evaluations and annual performance reviews.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate faculty development programs.
  • Maintain training records and support career growth initiatives.

4. Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure compliance with CBSE affiliation by-laws related to staff qualifications and service conditions.
  • Maintain employee records as per statutory and CBSE requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, PF/ESI, minimum wage, and other applicable regulations.
  • Draft, update, and circulate HR policies, employee handbook, and school rules.

5. HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain and update HRMS/attendance systems, leave management, and payroll inputs.
  • Prepare HR reports, MIS, and dashboards for management review.
  • Handle employee confirmation, transfers, resignations, and exit formalities.
  • Support administration in staff allocation, substitutes, and manpower planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.
  • 4–6 years of HR experience (preferably in education/CBSE school sector).
  • Knowledge of CBSE norms, HR best practices, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, HRMS software, and report preparation.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
