Assistant Manager - Hurricane Grill & Wings Restaurant

JOB SUMMARY

The assistant manager is responsible for the day to day shift operations. They may have additional responsibilities of training, inventory management, hiring, etc. They work with the other assistant managers to achieve objectives in sales, costs, Team Member retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The assistant manager reports directly to the general manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Arrives to work on time, ready to work, neat, and well groomed, according to Hurricane Grill and Wings dress and appearance standards

- Understands completely all Hurricane Grill and Wings policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs

- Proactively handles all staff and guest requests or concerns quickly, fairly, and with care

- Ensures that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times

- Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the Hurricane Grill and Wings recipe and standards

- Assists the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies

- Reports all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Hurricane

Grill and Wings general manager

- Schedules labor as required by anticipating business activity and ensuring that all positions are staffed as needed

- Is knowledgeable of Hurricane Grill and Wings policies regarding personnel and administers prompt, fair and consistent corrective action

for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures

- Fully understands and complies with all regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements

- Provides advice and suggestions to other assistant managers as needed

- Knows each staff member’s name and genuinely greets and interacts with

them

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 21 years of age – High school equivalency

- Previous supervisory and hospitality industry experience

- Proficient communication skills in English (verbal and in written)

- Proven track record of success as a restaurant manager in service, food and beverage industry, generally involving at least two to three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions

- Possesses excellent basic math and writing skills and has the ability to operate a computer or POS system

- Must be Food Handler Certified

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
