Assistant Manager Import/Export

Responsibilities:

- Collaborating with the merchandising team to ensure timely booking and updates in case of any changes

- Ensuring all custom export-related documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading are prepared and sent on time

- Compiling sets of bank documents for dispatch from banks to global buyers

- Comparison of freight cost, following up on bookings to obtain approval from forwarders/buyers

- Arranging bill of lading, sea waybill (SWB), NOC, Authority, and all related documents

- Developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures for the import/export department

- Correspondence with Bank on Import/export relates matters

- Coordinating with forwarders regarding shipment handling

- Overseeing daily operations and coordinating with international suppliers, customs agents, and forwarders

- Providing daily updates on shipment and payment statuses

- Managing import/export customs transactions in compliance with regulations and guidelines

Experience:

5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the textiles industry.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a reputable university

* Thorough knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and logistics

* Excellent English verbal and written communication and negotiation skills

Salary Range:

* Market Competitive.
