Job Responsibilities:
-Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the 1st level of control into the branches / departments.
-Understand and analyze business processes and internal control structures.
-Analyze root causes and ensure all major operational risk issues are reported and escalated to the department head.
-Report the issues and gaps identified and follow up their closure.
-Identify high and emerging risk issues to be escalated to head of Internal Control.
-Ensure that all major operational risk issues arising from incidents, FMP’s, fraud investigations or ISR department are considered in root cause analysis and reported.
-Identify emerging and new risk areas and liaise with the head of internal control to come up with a proposed corrective actions in order to mitigate the risks highlighted.
-Recommend updates and enhancement for the current applied control when needed.
-Discuss significant review findings with head of internal control that needs ad-hoc reporting to the concerned parts to take prompt action.
-Perform the proper follow up to ensure the full closure of the issues
-Required years of experience from 3 - 5 in the field of trade finance or operational risk
