Assistant Manager Legal

Karachi, Pakistan

Job Purpose:

To provide effective legal support to the company by assisting in contract review and drafting, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization in managing legal risks efficiently. The role involves close collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders to safeguard the company’s interests while maintaining cost efficiency in legal representation.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.
  • Ensure contract templates remain current, reflecting industry-wide standards and regulatory updates.
  • Implement and monitor the company’s compliance policies and practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, minutes, and resolutions in a centralized repository.
  • Manage timely statutory and regulatory filings as required under applicable laws.
  • Support effective and cost-efficient legal representation in all company matters.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Compliance, Finance, and HR.
  • Work cohesively as part of the Legal team to address issues impacting the company’s operations.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, norms, and challenges to support litigation and commercial strategy.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • LLB/LLM from a recognized institution and licensed to practice law in Pakistan.
  • 2–4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate or regulatory environment.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills with a good understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in contract drafting and basic negotiation.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to various audiences and present complex legal and commercial information clearly.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
