Education and Experience:

LLB with 5-6 years of relevant experience.

MNC/FMCG work experience in a corporate law firm; Registration with Bar Council (preferable).


Responsibilities:


1. Legal Drafting

  • Assists in drafting legal documents for the organization and coordinates with departments to initiate preparation of agreements and contracts required for acquiring third party services.
  • Reviews contract law before making service specific agreements and ensures adherence to applicable laws, organizational SOPs and internal policies.
  • Circulates draft agreements with concerned departments and negotiates clauses with external parties.
  • Executes agreements on stamp paper of requisite duty and ensures execution by external parties and designated company representatives.
  • Coordinates notarization of agreements and circulates final executed copies while maintaining internal records.
  • Maintains written correspondence with departments and organizes hard copies of agreements year wise.


2. Corporate Secretarial

  • Assists in Corporate Secretarial function of the company in compliance with the Companies Act, 2017 and applicable Rules and Regulation of the SECP.
  • Maintains statutory registers, records, and corporate filings as required under the Company law.
  • Assists in preparation, filing and record keeping of statutory returns.
  • Assists in timely compliance with corporate governance and secretarial compliances.


3. Corporate Affairs

  • Assists in liaising with regulators, government departments and trade associations on matters affecting the association.
  • Assists in preparation and follow up on submission and representation to be made in regulatory and policy matters.
  • Monitors regulatory and legislative development and report implications to line manager.
  • Provides operational support in stakeholder engagement initiatives relating to corporate governance, regulatory affairs and public policy.


3. External Legal Counsel

  • Coordinates with external counsels and prepares factual briefs for cases.
  • Maintains complete records of litigation files and documents.
  • Processes legal bills fees and payments and ensures timely system updates.
