Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Maintenance with strong hands-on expertise in Husky Injection Moulding Systems. The ideal candidate will come exclusively from the plastics manufacturing industry and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of Husky machines to support continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage maintenance activities for Husky Injection Moulding Machines (IMM) and related auxiliary equipment.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in Husky systems.
- Coordinate with Husky service teams for complex issues, upgrades, or technical support.
- Plan and execute machine overhauling, calibration, and optimisation.
- Maintain maintenance logs, documentation, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality procedures, and compliance norms.
- Train and guide the maintenance team on Husky-specific SOPs and troubleshooting techniques.
- Support production teams to achieve machine efficiency, OEE improvements, and cost reductions.
- Participate in audits, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working specifically on Husky Injection Moulding Machines (mandatory).
- Experience in plastic processing / injection moulding industry is compulsory.
- Strong technical knowledge of Husky controls, hot runners, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting IMM-related issues.
