Sky47 is looking for highly skilled and technically proficient “Assistant Manager Mechanical - Operations” to join our expanding team. The Assistant Manager – Mechanical supports the safe and uninterrupted operation of all mechanical and cooling systems within the Sky47 data center, including HVAC, chillers, CRAH units, VRF, CDUs, Liquid cooling system, pumps, FAHUs and fire suppression systems. The role leads daily mechanical operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and vendor/OEM coordination to ensure uptime and energy efficiency targets. The position also supervises the on-site mechanical team and responds effectively during critical cooling or operational emergencies. The individual should be technically strong and capable of independently managing operations and supporting the Manager when required.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Manager Mechanical in ensuring the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of all critical mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water systems, pumps, and fire suppression systems.
• Lead and supervise the on-floor mechanical team during daily operations, cooling faults, thermal events, and emergency situations while ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety procedures.
• Manage and participate in preventive and corrective maintenance of chillers, CRAH units, VRF, CDUs, Liquid cooling system, pumps, FAHUs and fire suppression systems cooling systems, FWUs, thermal storage tanks, and associated piping networks.
• Maintain effective airflow and thermal performance through knowledge of containment systems, hot/cold aisle management, CFD concepts, and CFM calculations
• Monitor mechanical systems through DCIM, BMS, and CPM platforms, analyze alarms and trends, and escalate critical observations to management.
• Support compliance with data center standards such as Uptime Institute, including Tier III/IV operational and certification requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, contractors, and internal teams during maintenance, installations, commissioning, and integration of facility systems
• Enforce PTW, LOTO, and mechanical safety practices, mentor junior staff, and maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, equipment registers, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

🛠️ Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems operation and maintenance, with at least 4 years in a data center, mission-critical facility, or large-scale commercial/industrial environment in Pakistan.

🎓 B.E. / B.Sc. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from recognized university/institute. 

Data Centre certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, CDFOM, etc.) preferred

🧠 Strong technical knowledge of data center mechanical and cooling systems including HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, and fire suppression systems.

Good understanding of DCIM/BMS monitoring, airflow management, uptime standards, and safety procedures including PTW and LOTO.

Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and emergency response skills with the ability to work independently in a 24/7 critical environment.
