Purpose of Job:
To independently execute branch audit assignments through effective planning, fieldwork, and reporting, ensuring compliance with internal audit methodology, regulatory requirements, and approved timelines, under the supervision of the Manager Operations Audit.
Responsibilities:

Perform branch-level risk assessments to support planning of branch audit engagements in line with the approved risk assessment framework.

Assist in the initiation of branch audit assignments, including issuance of audit commencement notifications and coordination with branches for audit logistics.

Prepare audit programs identifying key risks, expected and actual controls, and appropriate audit procedures to evaluate control effectiveness.

Execute branch audit assignments independently by performing audit procedures as per approved audit programs and documenting audit evidence in working papers.

Analyze audit results and draw conclusions from audit procedures performed, identifying control weaknesses, non-compliances, and operational risks.

Discuss audit observations with branch management to validate facts and obtain agreement prior to report finalization.

Draft audit observations and audit reports that are accurate, clear, concise, and objective, including executive summaries where required.

Prepare and maintain audit working papers and audit files in accordance with Internal Audit methodology and IIA Standards, ensuring timely sign-off after issuance of final audit reports.

Ensure branch audit activities comply with approved audit methodologies, IIA Standards, and SBP regulatory requirements.

Identify recurring issues, systemic control gaps, and emerging operational risks from branch audits and escalate significant matters to the Manager Operations Audit.

Support special reviews, investigations, and ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Manager Operations Audit or Head of Audit.

Remain updated on banking operations, regulatory requirements, and audit best practices, and complete required internal and external training programs.

Qualifications

14 years of degree from a reputed university or Professional Qualification from reputable Institute.
