Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Payroll (Human Resource) is responsible for managing and processing hospital payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and hospital HR policies. The role supports smooth payroll operations for clinical, nursing, and non-clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

  • End-to-end payroll processing for hospital staff (doctors, nurses, paramedical, admin, contractual staff)
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, overtime, incentives, night shifts, deductions, and arrears
  • Process monthly payroll within defined timelines

Statutory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Gratuity, etc.)
  • Experience in HRMS & Payroll systems
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns and coordinate audits
  • Handle payroll-related inspections and compliance documentation

HR Coordination

  • Coordinate with HR operations for attendance, leave, shift rosters, and new joiners
  • Manage payroll inputs related to hiring, exits, increments, and promotions
  • Support HR audits and internal controls

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain payroll records, employee salary data, and confidentiality
  • Generate payroll MIS reports for management
  • Reconcile payroll data with finance and accounts teams

Employee Support

  • Address employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
  • Support final settlement processing for exiting employees

Qualifications

  • MBA / MAHRM

Experience

  • 5–8 years of payroll experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance
  • Experience with payroll software and HRMS
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidentiality and integrity
  • Good communication and coordination skills

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
