Assistant Manager Pharmacy Procurement

Shifa International Hospital Faisalabad is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager Pharmacy Procurement who will be responsible for assisting in the procurement and supply management of medicines, surgical items and pharmaceutical supplies for the hospital. The role ensures timely purchasing, vendor coordination, inventory availability, compliance with regulatory standards, and cost-effective procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement planning for medicines, medical supplies, and consumables
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, negotiations, and purchase orders
• Ensure timely availability of pharmaceutical stock to avoid shortages
• Monitor inventory levels and consumption trends in coordination with pharmacy stores
• Verify purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, and related documentation
• Maintain records of procurement activities and supplier performance
• Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor expiry management and stock rotation practices
• Prepare procurement reports, stock analysis, and budget utilization reports
• Liaise with internal departments regarding medicine requirements and urgent procurements

Qualifications

• Pharm D / B Pharm / or Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 8 - 10 years of relevant experience
• Proven expertise in Supplier Evaluation and Procurement
• Strong skills in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management
• Advanced Analytical Skills for data analysis and decision-making
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical product supply chain management
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in procurement
• Relevant work experience in hospital or healthcare procurement is highly desirable
