Assistant Manager / Project Sales Engineer : Solar Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a technically strong and motivated Assistant Manager / Project Sales Engineer – Solar Sales with proven experience solar PV systems. The role involves designing customized solar solutions, preparing technical proposals, and supporting clients through the entire sales cycle. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong client-facing skills to drive project sales in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop project sales opportunities for solar PV systems (both on-grid and off-grid).
  • Conduct detailed site surveys, load analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Design preliminary layouts, sizing, yield estimations, and storage solutions using PV design tools (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
  • Develop BOQs, cost estimates, and complete technical and commercial proposals.
  • Provide technical support during tendering, client discussions, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project execution teams to ensure optimized solutions for both grid-tied and stand-alone systems.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE utility regulations (DEWA, ADDC, FEWA, SEWA, RSB, etc.) and off-grid project standards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in PV modules, inverters, hybrid solutions, and battery storage technologies.
  • Maintain strong client and consultant relationships to build a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Track and report sales pipeline, forecasts, and project status to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in solar PV project sales, design, or technical engineering in the UAE/GCC.
  • Strong technical knowledge of on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar PV systems, including battery storage solutions.
  • Proficiency with PV system design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, SketchUp).
  • Familiarity with local utility regulations, permitting processes, and grid interconnection standards.
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • UAE driving license is mandatory.
