Assistant Manager QA/QC

Job Summary:

PS Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – QA & QC to oversee quality assurance and control functions across construction projects. The role involves material testing, site inspections, compliance documentation, audits, and driving continuous quality improvements in line with industry standards and IS Codes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Testing & Data Tracking

  • Ensure timely testing of raw materials, fresh & finished concrete, bricks/blocks
  • Conduct and monitor NDT for concrete and structural steel as per latest IS Codes
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of all test results

2. Quality Inspection & Defect Identification

  • Identify defects in concrete works, structural steel welding, civil & finishing activities
  • Verify quality of repair works and contractor compliance with approved standards

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain documentation as per IMS, QAP, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 requirements
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports to Head Office
  • Prepare QA reports, incident reports, and mandated documentation

4. Risk Assessment & Quality MIS

  • Identify quality-related risks and recommend preventive/corrective actions
  • Prepare and maintain Quality MIS reports
  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Assurance Manual

5. Training, Snagging & Audits

  • Conduct onsite training sessions for teams and contractors
  • Perform snagging & de-snagging quality checks and ensure timely closure
  • Conduct mock-up audits and verify checklists against site execution
  • Support handover documentation and completion certifications

6. R&D and Process Improvement

  • Develop and update methodologies, checklists, and training materials
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.Tech / B.E – Civil Engineering
  • 5–8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction/real estate

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of material testing, NDT, and concrete quality checks
  • Compliance with latest IS Codes
  • Experience in IMS, QAP, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 documentation
  • Audit handling and checklist verification
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
  • Proficiency in preparing QA, incident & snag reports
  • Capability to conduct onsite training and develop quality documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
