Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – QIPS to join our healthcare team. The role is responsible for assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of hospital-wide quality assurance, infection control, and patient safety programs. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, enhancing patient safety, and promoting continuous improvement in clinical and operational processes in alignment with accreditation requirements and organizational quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Improvement & Patient Safety:
- Develop and Implement Programs in designing, implementing, and monitoring hospital-wide Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QIPS) initiatives.
- Continuous Monitoring: Track performance indicators and ensure adherence to established quality standards and protocols.
2. Infection Prevention & Control:
- Coordinate infection control activities to minimize healthcare-associated risks.
- Oversee infection surveillance, data collection, and reporting for trend analysis.
- Conduct awareness and training sessions to strengthen infection control practices among staff.
3. Training & Capacity Building:
- Support and organize training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs on quality standards, patient safety, and hospital policies.
- Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement within clinical and non-clinical teams.
4. Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare and present quality and safety performance reports to management for decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent implementation of best practices and process improvements.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, or related discipline.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of healthcare quality standards and infection control protocols.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and quality monitoring tools.
- Effective communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams.
