We are looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our new Vita Italian Restaurant Management Team at Hilltop Restaurant in Pomona, California.

This Leadership will assist the Vita General Manager in guiding our service team at our new Vita Restaurant located at the Doubletree Hotel Pomona, this role would include overseeing the day-to-day high quality product & service delivery of our new Vita Restaurant and the Food & Beverage and operations team serving the guest of the Doubletree Hotel Pomona.

Areas of direct responsibility include the 250 seat Vita Restaurant (includes indoor & outdoor patio seating), Ballroom & Meeting Rooms, providing Catering & Convention Events Services for up to 700 guest, and In-Room Dining & Lobby Lounge areas of the Doubletree Hotel Pomona.

This leadership position would also collaborate with the F&B Management team, in ensuring proper compliance of all human resources, and accounting procedures and processes of our Hilltop House Restaurant Group’s Corporate Team, which provides the F&B and Event services for the new 132-Room Doubletree Hotel Pomona.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing the recruiting/hiring, and training of our opening Service Team & Supervisor Team, providing exceptional service standards for delivering guest service and experience, within a consistent, high quality, and professional environment that will stride to exceed guest expectations and is in line with company standards & goals.

This positon will also collaborate with the hotel’s General Manager, Vita General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Catering in the development & implementation of property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to proactively exceed the needs and expectations with anticipatory approaches to servicing our Vita Restaurant & Doubletree Hotel Pomona targeted customer, through providing balanced hands-on leadership in training and guiding our service & management teams efforts to provide an incredible positive and professional work environment, that consistently meets our financial goals.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Vita Italian Restaurant & Bar/Patio Concept & Menu Development & Implementation
  • In-Room Dining, Lobby Lounge and Banquet Event Menu Development
  • Recruiting/Training of Service Personnel
  • Strong Labor & Expense Control Experience
  • Supporting Accounting & Human Resource Procedures.

Qualifications & Proven Track Record in the following:

  • California Italian Restaurant Concept experience
  • Quality Dining Restaurant & Lounge Service Experience
  • Restaurant/Hotel Opening Experience Preferred
  • Prior Multiple Outlet Experience Preferred
  • Strong Written& Verbal Communications Skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs
  • Micros POS & programing, Hilton OnQ PMS system experience preferred
  • Understanding of OSHA, TIPS, and other pertinent training programs.
  • Knowledge of ABC, Food Safety/Health Department, including Federal, State and local ordinances as they pertain to operating Restaurant & Bar, and Catering events.
  • Experience in developing and implementing F&B Sales & Marketing Plans that target revenue enhancements, seasonal demands, and timey identifies current F&B trends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
