Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food presentation
- Supervise and train staff members in food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with shift management by scheduling staff, coordinating breaks, and maintaining productivity
- Support kitchen management activities including food production, culinary standards, and cleanliness
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster team growth
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and overall restaurant management to meet financial goals
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision with a focus on quick service or fast food environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and kitchen operations
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transactions and reporting
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and supervising diverse teams
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Familiarity with inventory control practices, food safety standards, and health regulations
- Background in hospitality or hotel industry is a plus; casual dining or banquet experience is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills for effective interviewing, training, and team coordination
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and food cost management techniques
- Previous assistant manager experience preferred; culinary or kitchen management background is beneficial
