Assistant Manager Shipping Sales

About the Role:

We are seeking high-performing ‘Assistant Managers – Shipping Sales’ with proven experience in the Freight Forwarding / Shipping Line industry. The ideal candidate must have strong exposure to export/import sales, freight negotiations, and customer acquisition within the logistics ecosystem.

Candidates from non-shipping industries will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage export & import freight business (FCL / LCL / Air Freight)
  • Generate new business through direct sales visits and networking
  • Maintain strong relationships with exporters, importers & corporate clients
  • Achieve monthly freight revenue and GP targets
  • Coordinate with operations & pricing teams for smooth shipment handling
  • Promote value-added services (custom clearance, warehousing, cross trade)
  • Conduct market intelligence & competitor analysis
  • Ensure timely collection and credit control compliance
  • Prepare sales forecasts and pipeline reports

  • Sales Revenue & Gross Profit Achievement
  • Customer Acquisition Rate
  • Customer Retention Rate
  • Freight Volume Growth (TEUs / Tons)
  • Lead Conversion Ratio
  • Market Penetration in assigned territory
  • Sales Forecast Accuracy
  • VAS Revenue Contribution
  • Collection Efficiency

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping Line Sales
  • Strong understanding of freight rates, routing, trade lanes & documentation
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets
  • Excellent negotiation and client handling skills
  • Strong networking within Karachi export/import market
  • Proficiency in MS Office & CRM systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
