Assistant Manager - Warehouse Operations

Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager (FMCG)

Department: Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations

Location: Didargung, Bihar (Hindustan Unilever warehouse)

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

To manage and control FMCG warehouse operations including inventory, storage, dispatch, and compliance with company SOPs to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

• Manage inward, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of FMCG goods.

• Ensure FIFO / FEFO compliance for perishable and expiry-based items.

• Maintain proper stacking, labeling, and SKU segregation.

• Supervise loading and unloading activities.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate stock records in ERP / WMS / Excel.

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliation.

• Identify shortages, damages, near-expiry, and slow-moving stock.

• Coordinate with Accounts for GRN and stock reconciliation.

Dispatch & Distribution:

• Ensure timely and accurate dispatch as per sales orders.

• Coordinate vehicle placement with transporters.

• Verify invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, and PODs.

Manpower & Vendor Coordination:

• Supervise warehouse staff and contract labour.

• Ensure productivity, discipline, and SOP compliance.

• Coordinate with transporters and third-party vendors.

Compliance & Safety:

• Maintain safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Skills:

• FMCG warehousing knowledge

• Inventory control

• ERP / Excel proficiency

• FIFO / FEFO understanding

• Basic GST documentation knowledge

• Team handling skills

Qualification:

Graduate / Diploma in any discipline (Supply Chain preferred)

Experience:

1–5 years in FMCG warehouse operations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
