Assistant Manager/Sales Associate

Duties

• Assist in supervising daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service
• Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees
• Coordinate purchasing activities and assist with budgeting, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns

Skills

• Strong leadership abilities with prior supervisory or assistant management experience in retail or grocery stores
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable
• Proficiency in retail math, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
• Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution
• Ability to manage time effectively while overseeing shift management and team coordination
• Knowledge of merchandising, marketing strategies, and retail sales techniques
• Organizational skills to handle bookkeeping, payroll processing, stock control, and administrative tasks confidently
• Demonstrated ability to train staff on store policies, product knowledge, and sales techniques
• Experience with retail management software and wireless sales is a plus
