Job Title: Assistant Mechanic (Lubricator)

Job Summary
We are hiring an Assistant Mechanic (Lubricator) to support plant maintenance operations by carrying out lubrication activities, routine machinery upkeep, and basic mechanical support to ensure smooth and safe operations. The role also involves monitoring lubricant usage, maintaining lubrication records, and supporting emergency maintenance requirements while following safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out lubrication of plant machinery and equipment according to approved procedures and schedules
• Monitor oil and grease consumption and support efforts to optimize usage and reduce waste
• Take lubricant samples for analysis and report any abnormalities observed during lubrication
• Maintain lubrication registers, records, and related maintenance documentation
• Support inventory monitoring, storage safety, and availability of lubricants in the workshop
• Assist with routine machinery maintenance and emergency repair needs
• Collect and dispose of worn machine parts and waste materials to maintain safe work areas
• Receive work instructions, collect required tools and spare parts, and carry out assigned maintenance tasks
• Report machinery issues, unusual observations, defects, accidents, or injuries to the supervisor immediately
• Read and interpret simple machine diagrams, manuals, and drawings as required
• Follow all departmental procedures, work instructions, and safety standards
• Perform any additional maintenance-related duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role working with the same machinery and equipment within the industry
• Minimum primary school certification
• Trade certificate or license related to the function is preferred
• Basic English language ability
• Ability to read and interpret simple machine diagrams, manuals, and drawings
• Good teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Results-oriented approach and commitment to safe working practices
