Assistant Nurse

Providing patient carePatient care refers to the prevention, treatment and management of a patient's condition by providing them with quality medical care and emotional support. It also involves understanding a patient's concerns and providing quality care to address them. As a nursing assistant, your duties would include:

• Providing primary medical care to patients while focusing on their hygiene, nutrition and safety
• Helping patients in their daily activities, such as bathing, grooming and eating
• Assisting patients in incidental activities, such as getting out of bed, moving around the ward and undertaking self-care activities
