Key Roles and Responsibilities1️ Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursing Superintendent in overall nursing administration.
- Plan and organize nursing services in assigned units/wards.
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate nursing staff.
- Maintain discipline and professional standards.
- Participate in hospital policy formulation.
- Supervise ward management and ensure smooth functioning.
2️ Clinical Responsibilities
- Ensure high standards of patient care.
- Monitor nursing procedures and clinical practices.
- Conduct regular ward rounds.
- Ensure implementation of infection control policies.
- Handle emergency situations effectively.
- Supervise critical care and specialty units when assigned.
3️ Personnel Management
- Assist in recruitment and orientation of new nursing staff.
- Conduct performance appraisals.
- Identify training needs and arrange in-service education.
- Resolve staff grievances and conflicts.
- Encourage teamwork and motivation.
4️ Educational Responsibilities
- Organize training programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Guide student nurses and interns.
- Promote continuing nursing education (CNE).
- Ensure adherence to updated nursing protocols.
5️ Quality & Safety Management
- Ensure patient safety standards are followed.
- Monitor documentation and nursing records.
- Participate in quality assurance programs.
- Implement NABH/JCI standards (if applicable).
- Monitor medication safety practices.
6️ Coordination & Communication
- Act as liaison between nursing staff and hospital administration.
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare departments.
- Attend administrative meetings.
- Maintain effective communication channels.
7️ Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor use of hospital supplies and equipment.
- Prevent wastage and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure adequate stock of medicines and materials.
- Report equipment maintenance needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
