Job Summary:
The Assistant Operations Manager will support the Operations Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations of YAY Drive. The role includes supervising driver activities, monitoring trips and platform performance, coordinating with customer support, and ensuring high service standards. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with mobility or ride-hailing apps such as Uber, Careem, Bolt, or Yango, with strong skills in monitoring dashboards, handling driver issues, and maintaining operational KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Operational Support
Assist in managing the daily operations of YAY Drive across all service areas.
Monitor ongoing trips, cancellations, driver availability, and app performance.
Support dispatch activities and ensure efficient trip allocation during peak hours.
Report any app issues or operational challenges to the Operations Manager.
2. Driver Coordination & Supervision
Help with driver onboarding, orientation, and training.
Monitor driver attendance, performance, and compliance with company standards and RTA regulations.
Address driver inquiries, violations, complaints, and disciplinary cases.
Support in preparing daily schedules and roster updates.
3. App & Platform Monitoring
Check app dashboards for live trip data, maps, alerts, and driver activity.
Report bugs, feature gaps, and system issues to the tech team.
Benchmark platform performance against Uber, Careem, and Yango best practices.
4. Customer Service Support
Assist in handling customer complaints and escalations.
Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Monitor customer ratings and feedback to improve overall experience.
5. Reporting & KPI Tracking
Prepare daily and weekly reports on trips, driver utilization, cancellations, and revenue performance.
Track operational KPIs and highlight issues that require immediate attention.
Support management with data insights and improvement recommendations.
6. Administrative & Compliance Tasks
Ensure operational documents, driver files, and compliance records are up to date.
Support coordination with finance for driver payments, trip reconciliations, and incentives.
Ensure adherence to UAE transport rules and RTA standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in ride-hailing or mobility platforms (Uber, Careem, Yango, Bolt, etc.).
Strong understanding of driver operations, dispatching, and ride-hailing app structure.
Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of operational dashboards, Excel/Sheets, and reporting tools.
Ability to work in fast-paced, real-time environments.
