Assistant Operator (Industrial Labor) - Rate range: $25.66 - $31.94 per hour

Columbia River Carbonates is a supplier of high grade, ultra-fine ground calcium carbonate throughout the Northwestern United States, Western Canada, and the Pacific Rim. We are seeking a self-starter with a can-do attitude who has experience in industrial manufacturing processes.

Schedule & Training

· Our facility operates 24/7/365, and this position requires availability for rotating shifts.

· Training schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

· Upon completion of training, you will transition to rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights). Schedule changes are communicated in advance.

· Note: Applications without confirmed shiftwork availability will be automatically rejected.

Key Responsibilities

· Safety First: Follow all plant safety policies and procedures, prioritizing safe work habits at all times.

· Production Support: Assist in all areas of plant operations, including maintaining quality standards, receiving raw materials, and ensuring timely product shipments.

· Physical Tasks: Climb ladders, operate valves in tight spaces, and ascend/descend stairs as needed.

· Equipment Operation: Operate mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators, lifts, pressure washers, and landscaping tools.

· Rail & Shipping Support: Operate locomotive & trackmobile, wash, load, and unload rail cars, stone cars, and tank trucks.

· Monitoring & Recording: Read meters and gauges, track operating conditions, and accurately record pressure, temperature, and flow data.

· Adjustments & Maintenance: Make control adjustments, switch to backup systems, or shut down equipment as required.

· Quality Control: Clean and replace screens on vibratory machines and filters to maintain product quality.

· Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Collaboration: Work as part of a team to meet production goals, accept delegated tasks, and follow through on assignments.

Qualifications

· 1+ year of experience in an industrial or production environment preferred.

· Availability for all shifts and all days as required for rotating shifts.

· Valid U.S. driver’s license.
