About the Role:
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the support center and its programs run smoothly each day from open to close, maintaining a standard of excellence and upholding our mission.
- Ensure that all activities, services, and supports provided within the center are kept in compliance with service rules and regulations, as well as Stepping Stone policies and procedures.
Team and Participant Support
- Support Program Director in the day-to-day operations of the center, care of participants, and management of advisors/assistant advisors/substitutes and drivers.
- Manage a caseload of participants (adults w/IDD), preparing for and attending Service Plan meetings and IDTs, maintaining files, and serving as liaison with members of their care teams.
Coordination
- Assist in curriculum development and implementation for participants.
- Assist in coordinating staff development opportunities.
Expected Outcomes:
Within 15 Days
- Establish strong team and participant relationships, understanding their needs and expectations.
- Undertake basic operational and role-specific training, such as safety protocols and documentation procedures.
Within 30 Days
- Take on elevated role-specific responsibilities such as preparing for a Service Plan meeting (with guidance).
- Start gauging the impact of your role through outcome-based metrics, including but not limited to advisor feedback.
Within 45 Days
- Gain a full understanding of the Assistant Program Manager role & actively work towards taking on full management responsibilities.
- Demonstrate results by showcasing smooth operations, reduced issues, and high satisfaction among participants, their care teams, and staff.
- Execute on KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
- Showcase 'The Stepping Stone Way' through strong leadership and exemplify Stepping Stone’s mission and values.
Need to Have:
- 1+ year experience working with a vulnerable population (IDD, disabled, elderly, children)
- Ability to commute to Littleton, CO 80127 and a valid driver’s license
- Successful completion of CAPs check, criminal background check, and Motor Vehicle Record check
- Moderate tech skills
- Flexible mindset (each day is different) and ability to work effectively with a collaborative team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; positive, empathetic, and offering praise regularly
- Current certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, QMAP (Stepping Stone can provide training)
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience managing a team
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft systems, Constant Contact, tracking software
- Servant-style leadership training or experience
- Experience in highly regulated industries, with bonus consideration for familiarity with CCR 8.7000
- Strong self-leadership with the ability to navigate stressful or complex interpersonal conflicts while staying calm and composed
- Able to manage time effectively when unexpected situations arise
- Understanding of Colorado’s Mandatory Reporting requirements of Adult Mistreatment
State-required education or field experience needed for promotion from assistant to manager role:
- Bachelor’s degree (accredited) in education, social work, psychology or related field + 1 year experience in human services
- Associate’s degree (accredited) + 2 years’ experience in human services
- 4 years’ experience in human services
Schedule:
- Full-time (minimum 40 hours/week), plus mandatory staff meetings
- Flexibility is crucial, as occasional changes might be required.
- Assistant Program Manager will generally be at the center Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Ability to flex hours may be available upon prior approval from supervisor.
- Occasional remote work may be possible with coordination among team, adequate staffing coverage, and approval from the program director.
Compensation:
- $21.00-$25.00/hr. (depending on Asst. vs. Mgr. qualifications)
- $35/mo. phone stipend
- $50/mo. travel stipend
