Position Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Assistant Teachers to assist in our Pre-K classroom. In the classroom, you would assist with daily routines, foster positive social interactions, and ensure a safe and engaging atmosphere for children to learn and grow. You will also act as a float with other teachers are out. This role is perfect for someone who is flexible, passionate about early childhood education, and eager to contribute to a team and work with young children in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
• Foster a positive and supportive environment where children feel safe and engaged
• Encourage and model age-appropriate social interactions, problem-solving, and emotional expression
• Supervise and participate in indoor and outdoor play, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children
• Support classroom organization, including setup and cleanup of activities, snack preparation, and material management
• Engage with children's families as needed, supporting open communication and a welcoming environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, as provided
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a structured environment is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood development, with a focus on social-emotional skills
• Ability to engage with young children and foster a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, children, and families
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
