Now Hiring: Assistant Pre-K Teacher (2026–27 School Year)

First United Methodist Preschool (FUMP) is seeking a caring, dependable Assistant Pre-K Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.

FUMP is a half-day preschool program with a warm, collaborative staff and a play-based learning environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children and being part of a supportive school community.

Schedule

• Teacher hours: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
• Student hours: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• After-school enrichment program: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Compensation & Benefits

• $18–$20/hour, based on experience
• Paid holidays and teacher workdays

Position Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in the Pre-K classroom
• Assist with daily classroom routines and activities
• Help maintain a positive, nurturing learning environment
• Lead the after-school enrichment program beginning in the 2026–27 school year

FUMP uses the HighScope curriculum and values hands-on learning, creativity, and strong relationships with families.
