Assistant Preschool Director

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Preschool Director in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with licensing and safety standards.
  • Support curriculum development initiatives that promote innovative, age-appropriate learning experiences for preschool students.
  • Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth and classroom excellence.
  • Coordinate classroom activities, monitor student engagement, and ensure a high-quality educational environment.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts to enhance program quality, community engagement, and long-term growth.
  • Assist with budgeting processes, resource allocation, and fundraising efforts to support program sustainability.
  • Represent the preschool at community events and public speaking engagements to promote the program’s mission and achievements.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Assistant Director in licensed preschool
  • Proven management or supervisory experience within early childhood education or related fields.
  • Strong background in curriculum development and implementing educational best practices.
  • Experience working directly with young children in classroom settings, demonstrating excellent teaching skills.
  • Familiarity with education administration tasks such as budgeting, strategic planning, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing teams, supervising staff, and fostering collaborative environments.
  • Excellent communication skills suitable for public speaking and engaging with families, staff, and community partners.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
