Assistant Preschool Teacher

The Assistant Preschool Teacher will help lead the afternoon aftercare program for children age 2. This role involves supervising play, guiding group activities, preparing snacks, and ensuring a safe and engaging end-of-day experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education who enjoys working in a collaborative, child-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor play
• Help implement fun, age-appropriate activities
• Maintain a warm and respectful atmosphere in the classroom
• Ensure safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Assist with cleanup and organization of materials
• Communicate effectively with lead teachers, staff, and families

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, approximately 9:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children in a group setting (preschool or early childhood experience preferred)
• Enthusiastic, patient, and dependable
• Able to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet any applicable state licensing requirements

Bonus if you have:

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or coursework
• Bilingual skills
• Previous experience in an aftercare or extended day program

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
