<Overview>
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Preschool Teacher in the afternoon shift! <Duties>
- Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social interaction
- Help organize classroom materials and prepare educational resources for upcoming lessons
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety and promote inclusive participation
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members to share updates on children’s progress and needs
- Aid in potty training and diaper changing as needed
- Aid in feeding assistance & serving meals as needed
<Skills>
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education
- Experience with lesson planning across subjects such as literacy, math, and behavior management
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with autism or other disabilities
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and caregivers
- Familiarity with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus
- Prior classroom or daycare experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining patience and enthusiasm
- Must be able to lift 25lbs
