Assistant Preschool Teacher (Closer)

Semiahmoo Kids Kamp is looking to add to our growing school. Our preschool program focuses on play-based learning and thoughtful communication. We create a learning environment that centers on socialization skills, independence, and growth. We are looking for an individual who can multi-task, be a team player, and work independently.

Your responsibilities would include:

- Being flexible, energetic, and having a positive attitude.

- Being creative and strategic in lesson planning.

- Keeping the classrooms clean and organized.

- Maintaining positive interactions, relationships, and communication with parents/families, staff.

- Supervising and engaging in child-directed play

-Serving meals and supervising nap time

- Follow all licensing standards and required changes.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• ECE credentials preferred
• Current Infant/Child CPR & First Aid certification preferred (may be completed after hire)
• Food Handlers Card prior to employment
• HIV/AIDS Awareness training required (may be completed after hire)
• Negative TB test required prior to employment
• STARS Basic Training required (may be completed after hire)
• Must pass a background check prior to employment
• Immunizations
• Mandated Reporter Training
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Shift - Closer 9:00am-6:00pm

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
