Assistant Preschool Teacher — Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8am-4pm
Compensation: Based on experience and education in early childhood education.
Education: MiRegistry credits/ CDA teachers/ Associate Degree in Early Education/BA in Early Education
Position Overview
The Assistant Preschool Teacher supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. This role involves active participation in classroom activities, family engagement, and program events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily classroom routines, activities, and supervision.
- Support implementation of the classroom curriculum, including lesson preparation and hands‑on learning experiences.
- Maintain a positive, organized, and child-centered classroom environment.
- Participate in parent–teacher conferences, home visits, and meet & greet events.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and caregivers.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Uphold all program policies, licensing regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Education or training in early childhood education is valued and influences pay.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
- Dependable, patient, and enthusiastic about early learning.
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
